“The department name change is in step with a plan to formally add a community relations function to Township services as well as better reflect existing services offered by the department and the work produced by its staff,” said Jim Perpich, Director of Community Relations and Media Services. Perpich added that cable TV operations will remain the same.
The department name change included a plan for revised job descriptions and titles that befit a contemporary media services department, with staff skills necessary for the times. The following are new job titles for the existing staff working in the department.
- Director of Community Relations and Media Services – formerly Director of Cable TV
- Manager of Media Services – formerly Assistant Director, Cable TV
- Media Specialist – formerly Producer
The new titles and revised job descriptions for Manager of Media Services and Media Specialist were approved by the Clinton Township Employees Civil Service Commission on Feb. 23, 2018.
