Inclusive Playground Committee

Current Openings

There are 3 partial terms up for election on the Inclusive Playground Committee.  The partial two-year term will expire April 27,2023. There  Applicants should be either residents of Clinton Township, or work for an organization with a physical presence in Clinton Township that serves persons with disabilities.  Initial applicants appointed by the Board of Trustees will establish the by-laws, length of terms, meeting times and other organizational structure issues.  


The purpose of the IPC is create and mobilize a community-wide effort to promote the creation of Inclusive Playground Committee (IPC) accessible to children, caregivers and persons of all physical abilities.  Further the IPC will be responsible for developing Research, Outreach, Design, and Build Plans.  Additionally, the IPC will be responsible for bringing plans and recommendations to the Township Board and relevant Departments.  


Interested individuals, and those seeking re-appointment, must complete an Application for Appointment .  You can also obtain a copy from the Trustee’s Office.

All applications received by the Administrative Assistant will be distributed to all board members after the deadline of posting has been met and will be included in the Board of Trustee’s agenda packet, which is publicly available.

An invitation will be extended to all applicants to attend the Board of Trustee’s meeting on Feb. 14, 2022, for an Introduction of Appointment Applicants. The Appointments to the ZBA will be on the Board of Trustee’s agenda for the Feb. 28, 2022, meeting.
