Mission Statement

The purpose of the committee is to cause and encourage cultural awareness that fosters open communication and positive interaction among citizens of the Township and to promote cultural diversity projects.

Macomb Community College Future Summit

On August 23, 2019, Cultural Diversity Committee members joined faculty, staff and students at Macomb Community College's south campus to engage in meaningful discussions to shape MCC’s Strategic Plan 2025.

The Future Summit themes included:

Creating a culture of change
Aligning education and employers for long-term success
Fostering an inclusive environment that embraces diversity
Maintaining the personal touch in a high-tech learning environment

Future Summit participants were informed and inspired by subject matter experts, and joined in on facilitated small group discussions. The overall goal of the session was to help shape strategies for Strategic Plan 2025.
