In November of 2018, Clinton Township conducted a Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating (PASER) study to evaluate the pavement condition of the local roads.
System Grading Scale
Road sections are visually inspected for defects and rated based on scale of 1 to 10. Rating of 1 is a road in failed condition and rating of 10 is a road in an excellent condition.

Background
The PASER system was developed by Michigan Transportation Asset Management Council and is widely used by communities and road agencies across the state to evaluate the roads and develop maintenance plans.
Interactive Map
Clinton Township put together an interactive online map that displays the results of the PASER study.
The tool is composed of five tabs, each one presenting different sets of data that helps to understand the state of the roads in the township. In each map you are able to search by an address or you can pan around the map to area of interest. The pie charts also serve as filters for the maps; so that you can focus on one or two condition categories at the time.
For additional help in understanding how to use the online map, view our PASER Map Instructions (PDF).
