If you’re looking for free instructor-led, outdoor group exercise, join Clinton Township’s Senior Center staff for line dancing and Zumba classes at Prince Drewry Park on August 29, September 12, 19, and 26.
“Our goal is to offer Senior Center programs to all four corners of the Township,” said Senior Adult Life Center Assistant Director Debbie Travis. “However, our fitness classes at Drewry Park are open to all ages,” she said.
Line Dancing is offered on August 29 and September 12. Then, try Zumba on September 19 and 26. All classes are from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Prince Drewry Park is located at 22013 Quinn Road in Clinton Township. A complimentary hot dog lunch is provided while supplies last.
Travis added that there is no reason for seniors to be lonely, bored, or stuck at home and welcomes those aged 55 and over to join the Senior Senior from Monday through Friday for enriched programming and socializing amongst their peers.
“Many of our seniors in the Township are not aware of all the activities we provide,” said Travis. “With our free fitness classes at Prince Drewry Park, we hope delivering the fun directly to them will help introduce other opportunities we offer.”
