CLINTON RIVER ROAD WILL BE CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC FROM APRIL 27th TO END OF JUNE. This is required to replace approximately 500 feet of Clinton River Road and to install a new non-motorized pathway.
Drivers will be advised to use Romeo Plank Road as an alternate north/south route during time the road is closed. A detour route will be posted by the contractor by the start of this work.
Currently, road SHOULDER CLOSURES are planned for continuing the TAP Grant* Pathway Project along Moravian Drive and Clinton River Road, specifically the Cass Avenue sidewalk and bridge crossing.
- Moravian Drive – Northbound shoulder: Cass Avenue to 200 feet south of Hillcrest Street
- Clinton River Road – Southbound shoulder: 1000 feet south of Cass to Canal Road.
Below are EXPECTED START DATES PROVIDED BY THE PROJECT CONTRACTOR for various work tasks:
- 4/20 Tree Removal Along West Side of Clinton River Road
- 4/18 Moravian Pathway Sidewalk Removals & Grading
- 4/26 Clinton River Road Water Main Installation (west side of the road)
The traffic control plan shows no speed reductions, but drivers need to EXERCISE CAUTION IN THE WORK AREAS. Expect Intermittent traffic delays allowing construction traffic to work in the public right of way.
