Volunteer guides and staff needed for The Wall That Heals
The Wall returns to Clinton Township, August 5-8
The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC, along with a mobile Education Center, is coming to the Clinton Township Civic Center, August 5-8.
Plenty of community support is needed to bring The Wall to Clinton Township. It takes more than 100 volunteers to set up and take down the display, along with staff to guide visitors 24 hours a day.”
Volunteers will assist with public viewing beginning August 5. Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) staff members train and lead volunteers on site. To become a volunteer, call 586-286-9339, or go to https://twthclintontwp.wordpress.com/.
The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the United States Armed forces during the Vietnam War, and it bears the names of the 58,276 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.
