The following is a list of services affected by the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. The list will be updated as changes occur.
Township Clerk, Kim Meltzer (586-723-8051) and Deputy Clerk Kim Irvine (586-723-8052 ) are available by phone and email with questions about services offered by the Clerk’s Office (Clerk@clintontownship-mi.gov), With the closing of the building, no passports are being processed. Treasurer Paul Gieleghem’s office will maintain limited staff for safeguarding Township funds, managing Township investments, and processing mail, online, phone and drop-box payments. Phone calls will be answered based upon staff availability, and voice mail messages will be returned in the order they are received. Call 586-286-9313. Email treasurer@clintontownship.com. The Department of Public Services office is closed until further notice. Minimal staff is handling incoming and outgoing bills. Messages can be left by phone, 586-286-9300 our email, water@clintontownship.com. Emergencies can be reported by calling the after hours phone number, 586-469-5502. Water & Sewer services has canceled non-essential appointments. GFL trash service continues as scheduled. Chipping service is suspending until further notice. Township parks will remand open, but playgrounds are closed. DPS staff will continue to sanitize the restrooms as often as possible. The Building Department’s inspection staff and ordinance officers are working in a limited capacity. Inspections are limited to those essential to keep construction projects moving, and no inspections will be performed in occupied dwellings or heavily occupied commercial sites. Assessing Department staff are available through their email. The public may call our main number 586-286-9468 and leave a message; messages will be retrieved. The best contact for Assessing is through email at assessor@clintontownship.com. Mail any forms that require filing with the Assessing Department. Public records are viewable at www.clintontownship.com/assessing. Parks and Recreation will communicate with the public through their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/myctpr, email recreation@clintontownship.com, and by phone 586-286-9336. The Senior Center office will monitor phone messages and return calls as needed with limited staff. Voice mail messages will be returned in the order they are received. The Planning and Community Development Department office will maintain limited staff to handle calls and process mail, online inquiries, and FOIA requests. Staff working from home will be available during regular business hours via their email. All in-home inspections conducted by the Community Development staff related to CDBG and HUD-funded programs are suspended until further notice. The office phone number is 586-286-9325.
