![]() CLINTON TOWNSHIP – Clinton Township Senior Center Director Matthew Makowski has announced the promotion of Deborah Travis to the position of Assistant Director. “Debbie is energetic, creative, and certainly dedicated to Clinton Township’s senior population and the entire community,” said Makowski. “We are so excited to have Debbie move into her new role at the Senior Center and appreciate the continued support of the enrichment programs and services she has introduced to our community,” he said. Travis replaces long-time assistant director Deborah McClellan. Before her promotion, Travis worked for seven years as the department’s Program Coordinator. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to oversee the high caliber of programming we offer at the Senior Center,” said Travis. “My hope is to expand that valuable programming out to better reach the four corners of our Township,” she said. Travis has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in counseling and psychology from Rochester College and Spring Arbor University, respectively, as well as numerous certifications, including Senior Center Program Manager. The Senior Adult Life Center, located at 40730 Romeo Plank Road in Clinton Township, provides active lifestyles for adults 55 years of age and older.
