CLINTON TOWNSHIP – The Clinton Township Civic Center’s leadership team continues to change with the retirement and replacement of department heads.
At the Township Board of Trustees meeting on December 21, 2020, Tami Letcavage was approved as the Clinton Township’s Recreation Department’s new assistant director. She replaces Brian Kay, who was promoted to the director a year ago.
“Tami has been a tremendous asset to our team over the past six years that I have been an administrator for the Recreation Department,” said Kay. “Her leadership and professionalism will be an instrumental part of our success for the exciting new recreational amenities that the township will be offering in the upcoming years,” he said.
Kay added that the Parks and Recreation Department is fortunate to promote from within as it continues to add to the legacy established by former recreation directors Linda Walter and Frank Pizzo.
Letcavage began her career with Clinton Township in 2012 as a recreation programmer. After five years, she was promoted to recreation coordinator.
“I love being a part of this team and the Clinton Township community,” she said. “I am excited to continue the many great traditions and expand on the programming that we provide.”
Letcavage attended Central Michigan University’s Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Services Administration program. She is a nationally Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP), a Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA), and a certified American Red Cross Instructor.
