NOTICE OF ARBORETUM COMMITTEE OPENINGS

There are two terms up for appointment on the Arboretum Committee. Terms are for three years to expire October 13, 2022. The committee meets monthly during the afternoon or on an as-needed basis at the Civic Center. The purpose of the committee is to oversee and advance the development and utilization of an approximate 25 acre parcel permanent public arboretum park primarily accessed at the easterly edge of 18 Mile Road, bounded by Canal Road. The group will raise private funding to finance the development, all subject to the approval of the Township Board of Trustees. Members must be residents of the township or a representative of a long established organization or business located within the township.
Interested individuals, and those seeking re-appointment must complete an Application for Appointment which can be downloaded off the web site at www.clintontownship.com (click the dropdown menu under “Departments” and then click on “Township Committees”. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “Application for Appointment”) or obtain one from the Trustee’s Office. The deadline to submit an application is October 17, 2019. All applications received by the Administrative Assistant will be distributed to all board members after the deadline of posting has been met and will be included in the Board of Trustee’s agenda packet which is publicly available.
An invitation will be extended to all applicants to attend the Board of Trustee’s meeting on November 12, 2019, for an “Introduction of Appointment Applicants”. The “Appointments to the Arboretum Committee”, will be on the Board of Trustee’s agenda for the November 25, 2019 meeting.
