ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The GOLDEN STREET relief sewer, water main and paving project will begin on Monday, June 10th. This work will occur within the full extents of GOLDEN STREET from Danbury to 15 Mile Road. The relief sewer and road reconstruction work will be ongoing throughout the summer. Estimated completion of the relief sewer and road reconstruction work is a week after Labor Day. The water main replacement work is estimated to be completed by the end of September. An alternate route for thru traffic is advised during this time. Local residential access will be maintained by the contractor throughout the duration of this project.
Work continues on GARFIELD RD from Metropolitan Pkwy to Millar. The contractor is milling and patching failures in existing concrete and then laying a three-inch asphalt overlay to be used as the driving surface. Estimated to be open on June 10.
The LAKEWOOD ST rehabilitation project includes drainage and drain work, pavement crushing and shaping, station grading, concrete driveway approaches, HMA paving, and slope restoration. Local traffic only. Estimated completion is June 25.
The PICTON COURT RDWY reconstruction from Kentvale Drive to Cul-de-Sac project includes sewer work, pavement removal, station grading, aggregate base, concrete curb, concrete driveway approaches, HMA paving, and slope restoration. Local traffic only. Estimated completion is June 25.
THORTON ST and TESSENS DR, from Theodore St. to Braden St. includes a portion of approaches at each cross street, HMA paving, slope restoration, and punch list items. Estimated completion is June 25.
Traffic is prohibited from using the WEYBRIDGE ST and LITTLE MACK intersection, while concrete is fixed, and resurfaced with asphalt. Local residents should plan for delays and seek alternative routes to enter and exit properties located around the intersection. Estimated to be open to traffic on June 14.
ABELA ST water main replacement is substantially completed. Road estimated completion is August 2.
