Mission Statement

The purpose of the committee is to cause and encourage cultural awareness that fosters open communication and positive interaction among citizens of the Township and to promote cultural diversity projects.

2020 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration

On behalf of the Cultural Diversity Committee, Clinton Township was proud to hold it's first annual MLK Day Celebration on Monday, January 20, 2020. With musical performances, guest authors, community partner interaction, and a complimentary lunch; the Cultural Diversity Committee was proud to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. and his dream throughout this event.

On Aug. 23, 2019, Cultural Diversity Committee members joined faculty, staff and students at Macomb Community College's south campus to engage in meaningful discussions to shape MCC’s Strategic Plan 2025.

The Future Summit themes included:
  • Creating a culture of change
  • Aligning education and employers for long-term success
  • Fostering an inclusive environment that embraces diversity
  • Maintaining the personal touch in a high-tech learning environment
​Future Summit participants were informed and inspired by subject matter experts, and joined in on facilitated small group discussions. The overall goal of the session was to help shape strategies for Strategic Plan 2025.
